Architect® Blue Keypad & Biometrics
The Architect® Blue biometric reader enhances the security of your access control system and provides strong multi-factor authentication by combining open MIFARE® DESFire® EV3 technologies, a capacitive keypad and a fingerprint sensor.
Highly Versatile
The reader supports the widest range of credential technologies, including 13.56 MHz DESFire® EV3, STid Mobile ID® instinctive identification modes (Tap Tap, Remote…) via native Bluetooth® and Near Field Communication (NFC) capability. It also features Apple’s Enhanced Contactless Polling (ECP) to store credentials in the Apple Wallet.
Effortless Fingerprint Control
The biometric reader offers a different options to suit your needs:
• Fingerprint templates stored on the RFID card, ensuring compliance with CNIL French and GDPR European legislation.
• Templates stored within the system.
• Biometric exemption with card-only mode, using RFID card or the convenience of smartphone biometric unlocking, ideal for one-time visitors or individuals with challenging fingerprints.
Advanced Anti-Spoof Functions
The biometric reader is designed to resist fraud and spoof attempts:
• False finger detection: the reader detects a wide range of counterfeit fingerprints made of latex, Kapton, transparent film, rubber, graphite, etc.
• Detection of live fingers.
• Duress finger: the admin can assign a
finger number dedicated to authentication when the user is threatened.
Strong Multi-Factor Authentication
The reader combines the reading of a secure MIFARE® DESFire® EV3 credential with fingerprint identification and PIN entry to enhance security levels.
Fingerprints are converted into a template, meaning no image is ever saved. Templates stored on the card or server are then also encrypted and signed to guarantee the confidentiality, the origin and the integrity of the data.
